I am not currently accepting new clients. Thank you!
The following are GENERAL descriptions of different types of massage that may be
incorporated in your treatment session.
All services are customized for each client's preferences and needs.
Great for general relaxation, Swedish massage uses long gliding strokes, gentle kneading and compression to release mild muscle tension, reduce stress and improve overall well-being.
Therapeutic massage is customized to address the unique needs of each individual client. It may include a variety of modalities including but not limited to Swedish, deep tissue, trigger point release, myofascial release, neuromuscular facilitation, massage cupping and many more.
Clients should be prepared to communicate with the therapist regarding their comfort level throughout the massage and any health concerns to ensure the best treatment result possible. Some therapeutic issues may be significantly improved after just one session while others can take many sessions to see a noticeable change. This can depend on the severity of the issue, how long the issue has been present, the over health of the client and the client's involvement in their treatment outside of the massage session.
Deep Tissue Massage
Deep tissue massage uses specialized techniques to address the deeper layers of muscle and connective tissue. While this modality generally utilizes a heavier pressure, clients should always alert the therapist if the pressure is too much or if any part of the massage is too uncomfortable. If you feel the urge to tense up or hold your breath, the pressure is beyond your tolerance and the treatment will be less effective.
Side effects can include stiffness and soreness for as long as a few days following the massage, much like following an intense exercise session. Remaining well hydrated (as one is medically able) is the best way to combat these symptoms.
Cupping can be incorporated into any massage session. Adapted from the ancient practice of Chinese cupping therapy, Massage Cupping uses suction and negative pressure to release tight muscles, tone attachments, loosen adhesion and lift connective tissue, hydrate tissues and drain excess fluids and waste products by opening the lymphatic pathways. The therapist positions the cups over the area to be treated and creates suction using either a vacuum gun or bulb. The cups are then either repeatedly released and re-suctioned, moved over the tissue or left in place for up to 3 minutes
The suction level can range from light to heavy. As with any massage modality, the treatment may range from very pleasant to uncomfortable, especially in areas of physiologic dysfunction. However, the treatment should never be painful. If, at any time, the treatment produces discomfort that exceeds your personal comfort level, please communicate that with your therapist immediately and they will adjust the treatment accordingly. Notify your therapist if you are pregnant, diabetic or on blood thinners, if you have varicose veins or have any medical implants.
Facial cupping uses light, relaxing suction and lymphatic facilitation to reduce puffiness, plump skin, reduce fine lines and dark circles, reduce sinus pressure and tension of facial muscles.
This premium service includes a 60 minute full-body massage with two therapists simultaneously working your upper and lower body for maximum relaxation, application of hot stones and steam towels, a rejuvenating foot scrub and your choice of aroma therapy.
